Toy Story 5
Running time: 122 mins
Toy Story 5 reunites audiences with Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the beloved gang of toys in the next chapter of Pixars most iconic franchise. First launched in 1995, Toy Story changed cinema history as the first ever fully computer-animated feature film, helping establish Pixar as the worlds leading animation studio. Across four films the series has grossed more than $3 billion worldwide, won multiple Academy Awards and become one of the most emotionally resonant franchises ever made. The new film once again features the voices of Tom Hanks as Woody and Tim Allen as Buzz Lightyear, characters who have defined the series for nearly three decades. Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind Finding Nemo and WALL E returns to direct, bringing one of the studios most respected storytellers back to the world that helped build Pixars reputation.
While earlier films explored themes of growing up, loyalty and letting go, Toy Story 5 introduces a brand-new challenge for the toys: the modern world of childrens entertainment. In a story that reportedly explores the growing dominance of electronic devices and digital play, the toys must compete for attention in a world where tablets and technology threaten to replace traditional toys altogether. With Pixars trademark blend of humour, heart and stunning animation, the film promises both a nostalgic reunion with familiar characters and a fresh story for a new generation. Emotional, funny and full of imagination, Toy Story 5 continues one of the most beloved storytelling journeys in modern cinema.
