In a future where humans have abandoned dreaming to achieve immortality, one man (Jackson Yee) has refused to stop dreaming. Labelled a ?Deliriant?, he is hunted by an official (Shu Qi) who wants to restore order. The Deliriant, apparently near death, takes shelter in the ancient artform known as cinema. He experiences a series of vivid dreams, each taking him to a new layer of Chinese and cinematic history.
