A Tree Grows In My Dreams Every Night / Slovenia / 58 mins
Directed by Vid Hajnšek.
A poetic documentary mosaic of a remote Slovenian region and its people. We follow a photographer chronicling the changing of the times, old folk singers and young musicians, all living in the hilly wine-growing region of Haloze. Incorporating photography, local poetry, song and music, the film is a subjective meditation on the significance of memory and the creative potential of solitude.

On the Arctic Ocean coast of Chukotka live a people cut off from the world. Their life revolves around hunting walruses and whales and protecting villages from bears coming from the tundra. It appears that all the inhabitants of this region are involved in the cycle of food and death.
