The Geography of Violence ? Maeve Murphy Masterclass Writer-director Maeve Murphy presents her 2026 short-film trilogy The Geography of Violence: Siobhan, St Pancras Sunrise and The Wolf. The three films stand alone while forming a single interconnected feminist work, exploring violence against women across rural, urban, institutional and domestic spaces. Moving through themes of revenge, solidarity, justice and escape, the trilogy examines different cinematic responses to violence while ultimately looking towards resistance and hope. Following the screening, Maeve will discuss the development of the trilogy, its origins in the #MeToo movement, and the creative process of connecting three individual stories into a larger body of work. Maeve will be sharing insights from her experience as a writer and director and discussing the practical and creative process of bringing stories from script to screen. The masterclass will include screenings of all three films and a discussion with the director.
