Join the Sanderson Sisters for Hocus Pocus, Disney's gloriously spooky 1993 comedy and one of the most beloved Halloween films of all time. After teenager Max Dennison accidentally resurrects three witches in Salem on Halloween night, he must join forces with his sister Dani, friend Allison and an immortal talking cat to stop them stealing the town's children and securing their return forever. Directed by Kenny Ortega, the film stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy as Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson, alongside Omri Katz, Thora Birch and Vinessa Shaw. Although its original summer release proved only a modest box-office performer, repeated television screenings and home-video releases transformed Hocus Pocus into a genuine cultural phenomenon, inspiring costumes, merchandise, live events and a hugely successful sequel. Packed with magic, mischief, memorable music and endlessly quotable moments, this family Halloween favourite deserves to be experienced back on the big screen.
